KARAK: The education department on Friday promoted 293 teachers and asked them to report at the respective duty stations within two weeks.

A notification issued by the office of district education officer Taus Khan Wazir said that 148 primary school teachers were promoted to BPS-14 from BPS-12 and 39 senior primary school teachers to BPS-15 from BPS-14.

It said that 39 teachers had been made head teachers of their primary schools. In addition, 100 primary school teachers were promoted to the post of certified teachers and asked to report at different high and middle schools of the district.

It was stated that four teachers were promoted to the post of physical education teachers and two primary school teachers to the post of drawing master.

They were directed to report at their respective duty stations within two weeks.

DEO Taus Khan, meanwhile, said that the shortage of staff in different schools would be overcome now.

He said that the schools in remote areas had been given more teachers in the ongoing process. He asked the teachers to focus on their primary job of teaching and impart quality education to the students of remote areas.
