LAHORE: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in the city from Karachi on Wednesday and discussed with party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari the prevailing political situation.

Bilawal apprised Zardari of “highly successful” public gatherings in Chitral and Chiniot.

The duo along with Vice President Mian Manzoor Wattoo, Senators Farhatullah Babar, Qayyum Soomro and Salim Mandviwala, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Mehreen Anwer Raja, Makhdoom Shahabuddin and Bashir Riaz also discussed election campaign of the party’s nominee for by-polls in NA-120, Faisal Mir.

The party workers were exhorted to campaign vigorously for Mr Mir, who is contesting against the former first lady, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

SAHIWAL: Bilawal will address the party’s next public meeting in Sahiwal on Sept 8. According to party’s district president Zaki Chaudhry, its Punjab executive council recently finalised the PPP chairman’s mass contact drive plan at a meeting presided over by provincial president Qamar Zaman Kaira.
