ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani girl, hailing from Mianwali’s Namal Valley, has secured first position in Britain’s Durham Law School examination 2017, competed by over two hundred students from across the world.

A former student of Froebel’s International School in Islamabad, Maham Malik’s achievement has placed Pakistan in the global spotlight. Earlier, she clinched top position in A Level English examination in the country as well.

Ms Malik then moved on to study law in one of the top ten British Universities — the Law School of Durham in England.

Assistant Professor of Durham University, Dr Andy Hayward, commended: “Congratulation on your success Maham. It is such a great achievement and a testament to all the hard work you have put in to your studies.”

Ms Malik was rewarded a token of appreciation by the Durham University in recognition of her achievement, besides several awards from other law chambers in England.

When asked about her source of motivation, Ms Malik said it was her ambition to become a barrister and serve the country.

The Durham Law School is a leading institute in legal education and research, which attracts around 17,500 students of all levels annually.
