KARACHI: Fine performances from skipper Israr Ahmed Awan, opener Waleed Khan and all-rounder Mohammad Taha guided NCR-CET College to an easy seven-wicket victory Southshore School in their fourth Bilal Bhaty Inter-school/college T20 cricket tournament fixture here on Monday.

Electing to bat first at the IBA Cricket Ground, Southshore School were bowled out for a dismal 104 in 19.5 overs. Opener Shayan Khan scored the bulk of runs by making 47 off 45 balls with the aid of five boundaries.

Israr grabbed three wickets for 13 runs from his four-over quota while fellow slow left-armer Mohammad Taha took 2-18 in his four overs.

NCR-CET College then sprinted to victory by reaching 108-3 in just 12.5 overs. Waleed led the onslaught at the small target by striking 51 off only 37 deliveries while hitting four fours and a brace of sixes.

Taha, the left-handed opener, followed up his good spell with the ball by contributing a20-ball 37 which included three sixes and as many fours.

Waleed was later declared man-of-the-match.
