HYDERABAD: Condemning the Thursday suicide attack on devotees at the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine, a meeting of the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) held here on Saturday expressed the fear that more such terrorist attacks might happen in the days to come.
CPP secretary general Comrade Imdad Qazi, presiding over the meeting, said that if appropriate policies were not evolved and adopted to ensure safety and security of citizens, widespread public protests might erupt across the country.
The meeting held the federal and Sindh governments responsible for the Sehwan carnage, and urged them to formulate a comprehensive strategy on an emergency basis to deal with terrorism. “Religious parties should not be patronised by anyone,” he added.
