Former Sri Lankan Captain Mahela Jayawardene on Tuesday said young cricketers have a great opportunity to play against that best of world cricket and that experience will benefit them and Pakistan cricket.

He also said that he is impressed with the standard of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

"Pakistan is not playing at home but in the UAE, where they have played for many years and its very tough to beat them there," said the former captain.

"I played against Pakistan here many times and I know how difficult it is to beat them on these pitches. But with PSL, youngsters in Pakistan have a great opportunity to not only play with world class players but also show their talent," said Jayawardene.

Jayawardene further said last year's PSL was a great success and in the presence of more world class players, things will be no different in the new season.

Speaking about the Karachi Kings, he said "After some inclusions, the team looks more balanced and we are confident that we will perform better this time".

He added that the Karachi Kings looks to be in good shape and players such as Amir, Gayle and Malik will make things exciting.

"Karachi Kings has world class players and I am also impressed with the local players, we will take it game by game and build up the momentum," said the former Sri Lankan captain.

The former Sri Lankan captain was all praise for young batting sensation Babar Azam, and predicted he will be a fantastic player for Pakistan's team in the future
