At least eight people were in a road accident in Khyber Agency’s Landi Kotal area on Wednesday.
Political administration of the area confirmed that five women and three children were among those killed.
A passenger van plunged in to a ditch, killing the eight people on the spot.
The injured from the road accident were shifted to the agency headquarters hospital for medical treatment.
Local authorities reached the spot of the accident and started rescue services.
