PESHAWAR: Jamaatud Dawa held protest rallies in different towns of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday against the house arrest of Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and his associates.

The JuD activists staged protest demonstration and expressed their anger over the house arrest of Hafiz Saeed and others. They assembled outside Peshawar Press Club and chanted slogans in favour of Hafiz Saeed.

They demanded lifting restriction on the movement of Hafiz Saeed and alleged that government took the decision at the behest of India and America. They said that Hafiz Saeed had supported freedom movement in the Indian held Kashmir that was why he was put under house arrest.

Rallies were also taken out in Lower Dir and Mansehra. Protesters in Temergara were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against house arrest of Hafiz Saeed.

They were chanting slogans against India and the United States of America for what they called blackmailing the organisation.

The JuD activists took to streets in Mansehra to protest the house arrest of their leader. The activists, who were holding banners and placards, assembled at Khatma Nubowat Square and raised slogans in support of their demands.
