A man allegedly strangled his two children to death after a domestic dispute, police officials in Qurban Ali Shah village near Mirpur Khas said.

Rano Kolhi allegedly strangled his three-year-old daughter and year-and-a-half-old son and dumped their bodies in a drain near his home, Mirwah Gorchani police station SHO Haji Allah Dino Panhwar said.

"The bodies were fished out of the drain by villagers and handed over to the police for postmortem examination," SHO Panhwar said.

The SHO added that Rano Kohli had been arrested and an FIR was in the process of being registered on the complaint of Shagan Kolhi, the accused's father-in-law.

Police sources said they are investigating the double murder.
