YouTube releases list of Pakistan's most watched videos

YouTube Pakistan on Thursday released a list of the most watched videos and music videos in Pakistan for the current year with Commander Safeguard taking the top spot, said a press statement from the world's most popular online video community.

The videos have been selected based on the time spent watching, sharing, commenting and liking by users, added the press release.

The top music video was Coke Studio's rendition of Afreen Afreen, performed by Momina Mustehsan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Also featured on the Top 10 video list was the movie Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, Champion by DJ Bravo and Taher Shah's Angel.

Top 10 videos (excluding major label music videos)

They probably thought it inappropriate to make public the real list. If you saw the top trending videos list in youtube pakistan a few months back you would have seen what sort of filth our nation enjoys.

also release how much advertising these brands did on youtube and GDN to get those visitors on their videos? not a single original content .. all promoted by brands. it doesn't qualify. lets talk about organic traffic here youtubees.

YouTube is the beautiful thing invented for the public. We in Pakistan should make the best use of it and make the country, our culture, our religion more open and vibrant - bringing forth our best and not so best points in order to further enhance and improve and march forward in tune with rest of the world and other cultures and faiths. It is the best means to make use of awareness and enhancing the plights of the depressed status of our women in our faith and culture and overcome the inhumanly depressed status of our downtrodden masses in our society. Among the best Pakistani YouTubes is - IQRAR outlining some of the weaknesses in our culture needing to improve. Saddened to see that it is not among the top.

@Zul Haider That is what YouTube is meant for - first is to become aware and know the bad - filth in our society or culture, only then you can put efforts and means to make improvements and move forward rather than remaining stagnant.

@Taiful I think there is a difference between the number of viewers and how many times a videos actually has been viewed. I can watch something 10 times but still count as 1 viewer. YouTube counts views not viewers.
