Copy culture

The culture of copying is rampant in Pakistan. Students, who copy, not only ruin themselves but also the whole nation and the teachings they received. The copy culture is against the prosperity of the nation.

When Pakistan emerged as a separate land, on one occasion, Qaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah stated that, “There is no doubt that the future of our State will and must greatly depend upon the type of education and the way in which we bring up our children as the future servants of Pakistan.”

So if we want to develop our country, we should eradicate the culture of copying.

I stand for girls

Nature is full of beauty and among all the beautiful creations of God a girl is most unique. All girls have the right to live freely and leave their name in golden words on the pages of history. It is wrong to say girls can’t do this or that. In fact, girls can do anything ‘if’ they want to do.

Being a girl does not mean that we are weak. We should stay strong wherever we are, whether it is on the street or in the house. There are many women in the world who are role models for us because of their hard work and because in every stage of life they remained firm.

Girls should believe that they have the power to bring change in the society. If they have self-esteem and love for themselves, no one can do anything against them.

The flight of freedom

This is regarding the story “The flight of freedom” by Nazia Akhtar (YW, November 5). I really liked the story as it focussed on the importance of freedom.

Birds are creatures of the open sky, they should have the liberty to roam the sky freely and not sit in a cage. It is the most distressing thing one could ever do to them. I would request all those kids who keep birds as their pets to free them to fly free in the sky.

I am really impressed with the actual idea of freedom provided in the story “The fight of freedom” by Nazia Akhtar. Not all people know the true meaning of freedom or enjoy it absolutely.

Freedom is not only to go outside freely without any restriction; it is also your thoughts that should not be bound by limits so that you can enjoy beauty and colours of the world. Similarly, if you think of yourself as a superior being and therefore put in cage any innocent bird, it is cruelty. One should never take pleasure in caging helpless creatures which are born to live free.
