GWADAR: Four suspected militants were killed and two personnel of Frontier Corps suffered injuries in a gun battle in the Kulanch area of Gwadar district on Wednesday.

A joint search operation was conducted by FC personnel and intelligence officials on a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area, sources said.

During the operation a gun battle ensued, resulting in the death of four suspected militants and arrest of another one in injured condition.

Security officials said the militants were involved in the killing of seven Levies personnel in Gabd, two officials of Pakistan Coast Guards in Jiwani, the chairman of the Suntsar Union Council and four other people. They were identified as Sabir Ali and Sajid Ali of Pasni, Salahuddin of Mashkey tehsil and Zafar Ali of Gwadar.
