GUJRANWALA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) claimed on Monday to have arrested four human traffickers and recovered some passports and other documents from their possession.

FIA Deputy Director Khalid Anees told Dawn that a team led by Assistant Director Muhammad Sarwar and SHO Inspector Waqar Awan raided Gujrat and Sialkot and arrested Naeem Tabasam, Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Sarwer and Aslam. He said they were wanted in half a dozen cases of human smuggling.

KILLED: A youth was killed during a quarrel between his relatives and their neighbours here on Monday in Aalam Chowk.

Niaz Ali (29), a resident of Narang Mandi, came to meet his relatives at Aalam Chowk. On Monday, his relatives had a quarrel with their neighbours. Suddenly a person threw a brick that hit Niaz, killing him on the spot.

The body was shifted to DHQ hospital for autopsy.
