Scooby-Doo movie on the cards

Fans of Scooby-Doo will be delighted to know that Warner Bros is currently negotiating with actor/writer Dax Shepard to co-direct a Scooby-Doo animated feature.

If Shepard joins the film as director, it would follow the existing Warner Animation Group strategy to stunt cast Hollywood personalities with no animation experience as directors of animated features. Shepard is also set to co-write the Scooby screenplay with Matt Lieberman (Dr Dolittle: Tail to the Chief).

The movie is slotted for release on September 21, 2018.

A new LEGO Batman movie

Recently, The LEGO Batman Movie poster hit the web to help all the fans commemorate the Batman day (September 17).

That poster for The LEGO Batman Movie just surfaced on the official Twitter account for the upcoming DC comedy. The image in question depicts Will Arnett’s Batman diving toward the camera while wielding a Batarang as the sun sets on LEGO Gotham City.

The LEGO Batman Movie represents a major breath of fresh air. Not only does it tell a more light-hearted story about a well-known and beloved DC Comics character, but it also seems properly researched. The Bat myths appears to be very well represented in the upcoming film, and it’s clear that the folks behind The LEGO Movie have done their homework to create an actual Batman film that still represents their own comedic sensibilities.

This animated Bat-adventure will blast its way into theatres on February 10, 2017.
