KARACHI: In the prevailing situation, Pakistan Navy’s platforms and troops are maintaining continuous vigil at the sea and in creeks and coastal areas, said the commander of Pakistan Fleet, Vice-Admiral Arifullah Hussaini, during a visit to the PN’s units at sea on Saturday.

He reviewed the operational preparedness of the units and expressed satisfaction over their readiness to defend the country’s maritime frontiers, if needed.

Speaking about the ongoing naval exercise RABAT, in which fighters of the Pakistan Air Force are also taking part, Vice-Admiral Hussaini said: “Pakistan is a peace-loving country and wants peace and prosperity in the region. However, any act of aggression will be responded to befittingly.”

During his interaction with officers and men on board a vessel, he praised their morale and determination to defend the country’s frontiers.

The Pakistan Navy is a professionally capable and potent force which is fully prepared to counter any challenges mounted by the enemy, he added.
