SUKKUR: A man with the help of his son gunned down his married daughter after declaring her ‘kari’ in Rahuja village, some 35 kilometres from here, on Sunday.
Police said that Qurban Lakhan with his son Jawed Lakhan shot dead his daughter Ambreen Sumera Lakhan and threw her body into the street and fled.
Later Jawed surrendered himself to the police.
Area people informed the police about the body, which was taken to the Civil Hospital Sukkur for a post-mortem examination.
After the post-mortem, it was handed over to the relatives.
The police said the case would be registered after the receipt of the post-mortem report. The police were conducting raids for the arrest of the main suspect.
A few days ago Ambreen was married to Abid Ali Lakhan.
