LAHORE: Seventy-three players appeared on Monday in the trials, organised separately in Lahore and Islam­abad, for selecting Pakistan’s U-15 team for the Asian Rugby Championship to be held this year.

In Lahore, 38 players while in Islamabad 35 players featured in the trials.

According to Pakistan head coach Shakeel Ahmed, the open trials were very successful, adding “in the next phase the trials for South Punjab region would be held”.

After the South Punjab trials, the final phase of the trials will start.
