PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that patriotic tribesmen have rendered great sacrifices for establishing peace in the entire region, and now the time has come to take measures for resolving their basic problems.

He was talking to MNA from Kurram Agency, Sajid Hussain Turi, who called on him at the Governor House here on Tuesday.

Mr Jhagra said steps were being taken for ensuring lasting peace and provision of modern education facilities to the tribal people. All out efforts are being made for Fata development and to ensure dignified return and rehabilitation of the tribal people.

MNA Sajid Turi and the governor discussed matters related to the well being of the people of the agency with special focus on provision of better education facilities to them.

The lawmaker highlighted some of the problems the people of Kurram had been facing, and also put forward suggestions for their solution.

He also appreciated the efforts of the federal government, especially the governor, for restoration of peace and ‘dignified’ return and rehabilitation of the IDPs.

Governor Jhagra assured him of resolving on priority basis the problems of the Kurram Agency residents.
