Zeb’s Sandaraa

Published May 15, 2016

That is super-exciting. The extremely talented vocalist Zeb Bangash (of Zeb & Hanya fame) has joined a Brooklyn-based clarinet player Michael Winograd to form a band called Sandaraa. It comprises a bunch of diverse group of musicians namely Eylem Basaldi (violin), Yoshi Fruchter (guitar, oud), David Lizmi (bass) and Richie Barshay (percussions).

The first EP of the band is about to release in the US and those who are promoting Sandaraa believe that the music churned out by it is a combination of magical sounds of Eastern Europe, Indus Valley Civilisation and the mystical traditions of Central Asia. Wow! Can’t wait to hear it.
