ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has directed heads of Nadra and Passport Office to ensure that all people living in the country and abroad get CNICs and passports without delay.
Presiding over a high-level meeting of officials of the interior ministry and its attached departments, the minister examined problems being faced by Pakistanis living in the UK, US and other countries of the world, an interior ministry spokesman said on Monday.
A large number of Pakistanis living in the UK, US and other countries had complained to the minister about hurdles being faced by them in getting CNICs and passports.
The minister told participants of the meeting that expatriates were assets of the country and they should not face any hardship in getting CNICs and passports in foreign countries.
He asked the Nadra chairman and director general of passports to take steps for improving public dealing and addressing public complaints locally and aboard to help every Pakistani get CNICs and passports without hassle and delay.

Nisar interior minister where is the corruption I came to karachi from US to visit my nicop I'd card was expiring to got it renew at awami Merkel karachi was horrible they did not took application for one or other reason than the broker came to me from the office of awami Merkel and ask for $ 150 say RS15000 the card will be made in few days same offered who first did not took application did take it and renew it as he has link

A large number of Pakistanis living in the Toronto Canada have serious complain that Consulate at Toronto have lot of mess, mis management to get Passports & CNICs. There r no rule and regulation every body have to spent lot of time, Ch Nisar should specially take note of these delays.

Minister sb , could you advise Mr DAR, that's why overseas Pakistani who sending money from overseas, have to pay 0.6 %tax while transferring the funds to own account with in same bank, I just paid huge Chunk of such ripped off tax and decided not to transfer any more money rather than keep out side and for sure open an off shore account

Our minister didn't even know that NADRA is issuing NICOPs to Pakistani residing abroad, and NOT CNIC within a month if formalities are met. Looks like he has not met with NADRA official to see statistics,
Or atleast he should have asked NADRA to provide statistics before making a statement. He probably would have taken pride if he had statistics in front of him.
I hope he understands the difference between NICOP & CNIC for overseas Pakistanis, as his statement doesn't mention NICOP.

This is good news, the aboard Pakistanis will be appropriately dealt by NADRA but what would be the solution for those Pakistani's living in Pakistan and facing problems in renewing the CNICs. They were sent for verification. every thing is verified and still they are not providing CNICs nor they providing any information about the time. Any thing for us from Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan

Latest discovery by Ch Nisasr :Expatriates are asset of the country . This led to his orders : no delays is matters of CINCs ect. Does he not see such warnings produce
no results as no Inspection/ administrative action has ever , it seems, been taken ? Systems work only when over seen and kept alert .

@ M M AMIN (Old Ravian) : Niasar said overseas Pakistani are an assets, for what just sending foreign exchange to Pakistan, in return 0.06 per transaction fees on their money, these overseas money sent without any info to Panama, no question but instead of getting facilities taxes, hard times and our hard earning money used on the name of QARZE-ATARO-MULK SAWARO" PM should clarify his position how the money went to virgin island, in his sons accounts, which bank used to transfer these funds ?

Chaudry sb, can we humbly request if you ever come to Riyadh please visit Pakistan embassy...see it for yourself... indeed we the expatriates are the assets... we are the one sustaining the foreign currency in Pakistan. our export is zilch and import is colossal.. yet we are treated like dirt and those who sucks out our billions are treated like angels.... Only In Pakistan.. Pak ser zameen ka nizam...

I finally had to stop visiting the consulate in Los Angeles (applied for a passport three years ago)! So please stop making false statements to make us idiots feel better! Nothing will change, nor you nor any of the corrupt government officials which come and go!

It would break no ice unless Interiot Ministry play like a watchdog and keep.a folloe up steadily. Those pakistanies who live overseas are experiencing a hard situation at the hands of pakistan embassies.
Pakistan's Embassy or Consulate General Offices's officials and staff are good for nothing. Most of them are appointed on political basis and without merit. So they dont care about the problems faced by unfortunate overseas Pakistanies
