Man shot dead for ‘honour’

SUKKUR: A man, his two sons and an associate were booked after one of their community members was shot dead in the New Pind area of Sukkur on Wednesday allegedly in the name of honour.

Yousuf Gadani lodged an FIR against Sadiq Gadani, his two sons, Ghulam Abbas Gadani and Adam Gadani, and an associate, Sharif Gadani, at the New Pind police station stating that his son, Naveed Gadani, 22, was shot dead by the suspects after he raised objection to Ghulam Abbas’s alleged closeness to his (Naveed’s) wife.

The complainant said that the issue had become and a matter of honour for both families.

No arrests were made till late in the evening.
