Afghan agent arrested from Balochistan: FC official

QUETTA: An agent working for the Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan's premier spy agency – was arrested from Chaman district in Balochistan Wednesday morning, officials said.
A Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman said personnel conducted a raid on a compound in Boghra, a residential and commercial area in Chaman, and picked up an agent working for the NDS.
Explosive materials, primacords, detonators, bombs and fuses were also recovered from the agent's possession.
The spokesman said the 'spy' was supplying weapons and explosive materials for terrorist activities inside Balochistan.
Intelligence agencies are interrogating the agent, he added.
The arrest comes just weeks after forces arrested Kulbushan Jadhav, an Indian agent from Balochistan, who Pakistan said was involved in "terror activities" in the province.
Law enforcement agencies announced the arrest of Jadhav during an intelligence-based raid in Balochistan's Chaman last month.
The Indian Foreign Ministry earlier confirmed the arrested man was a former Indian Navy officer, but the Pakistani government claimed to have recovered travel documents and multiple fake identities of Jadhav, establishing him as an Indian spy who entered into Balochistan through Iran — holding a valid Iranian visa.

Good work. Expose these Afghanis which we hosted for years and are now biting us together with indians. Why are we not sealing the borders like many countries have done. Let us take a loan of billion or two and seal these borders effectively. This is the only way to protect our borders.

So first we capture Indian RAW agent from Chaman area last week and now Afghan NDS agent from the same area. Good work by intel agencies. These two entities are working together to wreck havoc in Pakistan and kill innocent Pakistanis. Lean hard on both of them so they squeal and reveal other contacts.

One of the primary aims of NDS is to destabilize Pakistan. So it should not be any surprise to anybody. NDS also funds many nationalist and ethnic based organizations around Pakistan. Also they arrange the meetings of many Ethnic leaders mainly in UAE, Qatar and Germany and it is an open secret.

@TRUTHFUL It's not the common Afghanis. They love Pakistan. It's the old Northern Alliance dominated NDS which is mostly Uzbek or Tajik that is anti-Pakistan. We have to differentiate between good and bad Afghanis.

This wouldn't have happened if Pakistan had sealed the whole border with afghansitan. None of the attacks would have happened in Pakistan if we didn't have allowed afghani refugees in Pakistan during 80s. I'm sure Pakistan leadership regrets this.

Since 1947 Afghanistan always hostile towards Pakistan and support India. It allowed India to open many consulate in Afghanistan to create terrorism in Pakistan and also given hideouts to terrorists in Pakistan.

It's so unfortunate that our government's response is so weak. Pakistan should immediately call Afghan ambassador and handover a strong protest against the nefarious activities of NDS which is without any doubt has backing of RAW of India.

Excellent FC Balochistan. The federal government should take up the issue seriously with the Afghan government and ask them why they are back stabbers along side India. Let the long porous borders with Afghanistan be sealed to stop incursion.

My forefathers were Afghans who settled in Pakistan... Pakistan is my homeland which I love to the core and I have strong feelings about Afghanistan... All I want to say to my Afghan brothers don't bring shame to our name ... know who are you friends and enemies ... it is Pakistan who took us in and we owe it to our Pakistani brothers... lets work for a better future together... A proud Pashtun and Pakistani Afghani!!!!
