TAXILA: Hassanabdal police have arrested six people who were on the fourth schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act and were thought to have links with banned organisations.

Many arrests were made during the operation which was started across the province after the bombing in Lahore on Sunday, which killed more than 70 people and injured many more.

As part of the operation, those who were placed on the fourth schedule are being monitored more closely.

A total of 11 people who were on the watch list were arrested from various areas including two from Rangoo and three in the limits of the Attock Khurd police station.

The Hassanabdal police also arrested 24 workers of the Sunni Tehreek for arranging protests and staging a sit in on G.T. Road near Cadet College Chowk.
