MINGORA: Students performed a cultural dance (Athanr) at a private school here on Saturday, enthralling the audience.

The dance was organised at the Khapl Kor Model School’s auditorium during the annual prize distribution ceremony attended by parents, elders and officials in large numbers.

Swat District Nazim Mohammad Ali Shah was the chief guest, while the ceremony was presided over by tehsil nazim Ikram Khan.

Prizes and awards were given away to the students who achieved top positions in academic and extracurricular activities.

Speaking on the occasion, the district nazim praised the performance of the students. He said the school was a social welfare organisation supporting orphans and needy children. He said the school not only imparted modern education but also cultural values to students and focused on their character-building.
