A CTD spokesman said after receiving information about the presence of suspected members of banned organisations, they conducted raids in different parts of the city and arrested eight suspects.

He claimed the suspects belonged to Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan and Sipah-i-Muhammad Pakistan.

The spokesman further said they also recovered illegal weapons, proscribed literature and explosive material from their possession. Identities of those arrested were not disclosed.
