GWADAR: Local administrations of Gwadar and Turbat sealed many shops, hotels and private banks for observing a shutter down strike against the killing of BNM Secretary General Dr. Mannan Baloch in an alleged armed encounter four days ago in Mastung.

Most of the shops remained closed on the third consecutive day on Tuesday in the two cities.

However, the local administration asked the traders, hotel owners and private bank officials to open up their businesses.

The administration sealed their businesses after they refused to follow the directives. Similar was the position in Turbat where over a dozen shops and private bank branches were sealed by the local administration.

Heavy police and personnel of Frontier Corps were deployed in both towns.
