OKARA: The construction of boundary wall of the University of Education’s local campus has begun after its closure a couple of days ago by district administration for having poor security.
Campus Director Dr Khalid Saleem told Dawn on Wednesday that the boundary wall’s construction had been started as UoE Vice-Chancellor Dr Rauf-i-Azam had released Rs6 million for the purpose.
He said other security measures the university had been asked to take, including fresh induction of security guards, better quality CCTVs cameras etc were also being taken by the UoE administration.
The varsity’s local campus was closed down after its security was found unsatisfactory during a joint visit by the district coordination officer and district police head.
