A monkey that looks like Wolverine

SOMEWHERE in the weird, terrifying world there is a monkey that looks like Wolverine.

The Wolf’s Mona monkey, or Cercopithecus wolfi, is found primarily in central Africa and the Congo. The species likes swampy habitats and are of no relation to red-tailed monkeys whatsoever.

This particular specimen is an inmate at the Secret Zoo in Malang City, Indonesia. Its unique blue and yellow markings make it look uncannily like Wolverine, the metal-clawed tough guy from Stan Lee’s X-Men series, played most recently by Hugh Jackman in the X-Men movie adaptations. n

Stuck in a cooking pot

THIS might be the first big cat ever pictured with a steel pot stuck on its head.

A hungry leopard looking for scraps of food ended up the laughing stock of the village when its greed got the better of it.

The big cat was filmed with a cooking pot entirely covering its head. The poor thing was stuck unable to see a thing and unsure which direction to turn and so it had to spent six hours enduring the pot on its head.

Locals in Rajasthan, India, tried to help free the leopard as it sat immobile and likely petrified. Eventually forest department officials were able to tranquilise the leopard and pull the pot from its head. The leopard was then released back into the wild. Thank goodness!
