Demand for making Khuzdar airport functional

KHUZDAR: The deputy chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl and a member of the National Assembly, Maulana Qamruddin, has called upon the government to make the Khuzdar airport functional.

Talking to journalists here on Wednesday, he said that people travelling long distances from Khuzdar had been facing difficulties. He asked the PIA management to facilitate people of Balochistan by putting the Khuzdar airport into operation as soon as possible.

Maulana Qamaruddin demands is right,besides Khuzdar Airport more Airports must be built to facilitate the Balochis,besides more sea ports be also built along the coastline right upto Iran.And fishing trade & industry be encourage all along the coastline.

Karachi's Airport looks like a bus station of a third world country. So depressing with brown floor and yellow lights. I feel so embarrassed by the condition of the airport. Airports are the first impression of the cities. The sorry state of the airport reflects the poor state of the city.

The picture is of new Multan Airport, and I agree with Saima, we need to uplift and modernize the Major cities airport first, and we cant just make all the airport operational, PIA is in crisis, so we have to be reasonable when making this decision, just because its Government owned doesn't mean we use it to please everyone.
