The shoot for Mehreen Jabbar's next feature film Dobara Phir Se is in full swing, with the cast and crew returning to New York after a brief spell in Westport, Connecticut.

The writer/co-producer Bilal Sami fleshed out the plot in conversation with Fairfield Citizen, the local daily in Fairfield, New York. He revealed that the film will be a rom-com about two Pakistanis who meet and eventually fall in love in New York. The two then embark on a road trip to upstate New York to visit family.

While the plot details are sparse, we look forward to simple storytelling in cinema. Mehreen is known for giving an unheard ending to conventional stories.

The crew was shooting at Jennings Beach and Lake Mohegan last week as Farfield was an ideal location to depict upstate NY and the filmmakers were on a lookout for a ''pretty and picturesque'' place.

The film will be a comeback for actor-model Tooba Siddiqui who has been away from acting for quite some time and will bring together actors from Jabbar's previous projects like Adeel Hussain and Sanam Saeed.

The film also features Moor star Shaz Khan, along with popular actors Hareem Farooq and Ali Kazmi. With cameras still rolling, no release date has been officially announced.
