Stade Rennes are level with Reims and Paris St Germain on nine points after coming from behind to beat Toulouse 3-1 thanks to two second-half goals from Sylvain Armand and Giovanni Sio. PSG have a game in hand.

Fekir scored both sides of the interval, finishing off good work from team mates Corentin Tolisso and Mathieu Valbuena as Lyon played some neat football. Claudio Beauvue added the fourth goal three minutes from time.

The win put Hubert Fournier’s side up to fifth in the standings with seven points a week after a home defeat against Rennes.

In other matches on Saturday, promoted Angers maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Nice and lie fourth while Troyes and Montpellier finished 0-0.

In the only other match of the day, Herve Renard enjoyed his first win as Lille coach where a goal from Sofiane Boufal was enough to see off Ajaccio 1-0.
