BAHAWALPUR: The Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) has announced results of BA and BSc, showing pass percentage of 45.97 and 54.21, respectively.
According to a press release on Sunday, out of total 10,280 candidates in BA, 4,726 were declared successful while out of 9,278 BSc students, 5,030 remained successful.
Girls outperformed boys in BA as they captured the top three positions. Aisha Mushtaq of Government Degree College for Women, Liquatpur (Rahim Yar Khan), got the first position with 694 marks while the second position went to Amna Khadim of Government Degree College for Women, Khanpur (Rahim Yar Khan), by securing 665 marks. Hanain Muhammad Asif of the Government Degree College, Dubai Mahal, Bahawalpur, got the third position with 660 marks.
In BSc, the boys achieved the first two positions. Muhammad Jahangir of Iqra College, Rahim Yar Khan, was declared first with 715 marks while the second position went to private candidate, Usman Ali, of Minchinabad with 704 marks. Mehwish Tanveer of Punjab College, Rahim Yar Khan, got third position by obtaining 702 marks.
