ANYONE conversant with the electoral process in Pakistan knows well that conducting local bodies elections is a more difficult task than conducting general elections. Chaos will follow when losing political parties claim massive rigging. If this happens, the institution expected to be blamed will be the ECP.

Against this backdrop, the ECP needs to be well prepared to conduct the local bodies elections in a transparent manner.
