KHAIRPUR: Five members of a family — four brothers and their sister-in-law — were killed and two children were injured when their car collided head-on with a trailer truck on the Kumb-Nawabshah road near Jadal Juna village, 35 kilometres from here, on Monday morning.

The family was going to their village near Rojhan Jamali to celebrate Eid when they met with the accident. They were identified as Gul Mohammad Jamali, 70, Abdul Latif Jamali, 55, Dur Mohammad Jamali, 62, Mohammad Yaqoob Jamali, 65, (brothers), and Ms Razul, 32, who is said to be their sister-in-law.

The injured children were identified as three-year-old Aijaz and one-and-a-half-year-old Hussain Bux.

The Kumb police took the bodies into custody after being informed by area people about the accident, and handed them over to the heirs after fulfilling medico-legal formalities.
