KARACHI: Upcoming all-rounder Kamran Ghulam played a dazzling knock while powering K-Electric to a 90-run victory over Shaboo Star CC Quetta in the 30th Karachi Gymkhana Omar Associates Ramazan Cricket Festival here on Monday.

The former Pakistan player struck an undefeated 91 from only 60 balls with the aid of 10 boundaries and one six as K-Electric reached 164-2 in the allotted 20 overs at the KG Ground.

Opening the innings with Kamran, Faraz Ali contributed a 40-ball 52 that included seven fours in a stand of 97.

Shaboo Star CC, in reply, were dismissed for 74 in 17.2 overs with Test opener Sami Aslam top-scoring with a run-a-ball 13.

Slow left-armer Faraz Ahmed Khan and leg-spinner Shahzaib Ahmed Khan grabbed three wickets each for 10 and 16 runs, respectively.

Kamran, who was adjudged man-of-the-match, completed a fine game by taking two wickets for four runs in 1.2 overs, while Peshawar’s strongly-built left-arm seamer Taj Wali took two for 10.
