PM for early completion of Murree projects

MURREE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday directed the provincial authorities to speed up ongoing development projects at the hill station.

Chairing a meeting to review development projects in Murree here on Friday, at the Governor House, the prime minister expressed satisfaction over completion of six development projects.

Member National Assembly (MNA) and chairman steering committee for Murree development Hamza Shahbaz briefed Premier about the ongoing projects in Murree.

The completed projects include renovation of general bus stand, modernisation of sanitation and waste management system, rehabilitation of roads, Bansra Gali Forest Park and water supply schemes.

The PM was informed that work on remaining four projects that include restoration of GPO to its original shape, Murree Arts Council Cinema, improvement in traffic management system and beautification was under way.

Sharif directed that there should be no laxity in the up gradation or restoration of old dignity of Murree.

The meeting was attended by Federal  Minister  for  Petroleum  and  Natural  Resources  Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Provincial Minister  for  Manpower  and  Labour  Raja Ashfaq Sarwar.
