DERA GHAZI KHAN: District police claimed on Friday to have cleared 5km of riverine of the Indus of criminals.

Around 500 policemen from Muzaffargarh and Dera Ghazi Khan police took part in the operation.

District Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Maikin claimed to have flushed out outlaws from the area and expressed his resolve to continue the operation under the National Action Plan until the area was purged of outlaws.

Despite resistance by suspected criminals, police were chasing absconding outlaws for their arrests. Police claimed that at least two criminals got injured during an exchange of fire.
