PESHAWAR: The apex committee, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, met here on Thursday to review the law and order situation in the province and the tribal regions, a statement issued by the Inter Public Services Relations said.

The meeting, held at the Corps Headquarters, was chaired by Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan and attended by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Corps Commander Lieutenant General Hidayatur Rehman and other senior military and civil officials.

The committee took stock of the prevailing law and order situation in the province and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. The participants were also briefed about the ongoing operations in Fata and steps being taken for the early return of displaced people and their rehabilitation.
