NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: An infant had a miraculous escape when fell off a moving bus near Moro town on the National Highway on Sunday.

The around 18-month-old baby was in the lap of his mother who along with her husband was travelling in the Peshawar-bound bus. She was seated beside an open window and did not actually know when the baby disappeared.

The couple came to know about the baby having gone missing when the bus reached Kandiaro town and stopped at a fuel station. The panicked and shocked couple raised a hue and cry attracting people around. However, the couple was fortunate enough as the news about the baby had already reached the Motorway police post close to the fuel station. The Motorway police transported the baby to the Kandiaro post from another post, left behind by the bus.

The police officers who handed over the baby to his parents said a passer-by had informed them that a baby was lying at a section of the highway. They said they rushed to the specified spot and found the baby perfectly all right. They said they were puzzled over the ‘discovery’ when they received a call from their Kandiaro post with the query about the missing infant.
