MINGORA: Swat University on Saturday cancelled the paper of Islamic Studies of BA Part-II after mistakes were detected in the question paper.
According to students of BA Part-II, they had to take the paper of Islamic Studies for which they went to the examination hall, but to their surprise the paper was designed from the course of BA Part-I.
“When the examiners handed over the question papers to the students, all the questions were from the course of Part-I instead of Part-II. When we pointed out the mistake, the university administration changed the date of today’s paper to 26 June,” Naila bibi, a student of BA Part-II told Dawn.
Hundreds of students from Swat, Shangla and Buner are taking the ongoing examinations of BA Part-I and II. They criticised the authorities for the blunder committed in setting the paper.
University of Swat also confirmed its mistake in a press release issued by its public relation officer stating that BA Part-II paper was rescheduled for June 26 at 9am.
