KARACHI: Hassan Farooq outplayed Nouman Aftab to win the Under-18 boys singles title while Hania Naveed beat Rida Khan to clinch the U-18 girls singles title in the 3rd Edition of Essa Lab Open Tennis Championship which conmcluded at the Karachi Gymkhana on Friday.

Ebad Ahmed grabbed the U-14 singles title while M Yahya emerged as the winner of the U-12 title.

Dr,Jamil Ahmed, DIG Karachi South, was the chief guest on the occasion and gave away the trophies besides distributing prizemoney of Rs100,000 among the winners and runner-ups of various categories.

Prominent personalities including Dr Farhan Essa. Khawaja Saeed Hai, Jahangir Mughal, Asma Shah, Khalid Rehmani and others were also present during the finals.

U-18 singles final (boys) - Hassan Farooq bt Nouman Aftab 6-3,6-3

Girls U-18 singles final (girls) - Hania Naveed bt rida Khan 6-0-6-2

U-14 singles final - Ebad Ahmed bt Houd Azher 6-3,6-3

U-12 singles final - M Yahya bt Farzan Ahmed 8-6

U-10 singles final - Hammad Khan bt Ibrahim Noman Yousuf.
