LAHORE: A woman allegedly shot dead her brother for expelling her from the house of parents in Ghalib Market on Thursday.

Police said Javed, 35, of Ittehad Colony, had a property dispute with his sister, Irshad Bano, who was demanding her share from the house of her parents.

Police said Bano reached her brother’s bed room and shot at and injured him and fled the scene. The injured was taken to Services Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Police shifted the body to a morgue for an autopsy and registered a case against the accused woman on the complaint of victim’s wife Ishrat Bibi.

Ghalib Market SHO Shahzad Kamal said that Javed had expelled his sister from the parental house and was not giving her share.

The SHO said that raids were being conducted to arrest the suspect.
