ISLAMABAD: Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Tuesday that Sindh and Balochistan would be the biggest beneficiaries of power generation triggered by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project, with 36 per cent and 26pc the total production of 13,880MW going to them, respectively.

Presiding over a National Harmony Workshop at the National Defence University here, Mr Iqbal asked media to portray the correct picture of the CPEC route and initiate a debate on its effects on the inclusive development of Pakistan rather than presenting ‘sketchy’ information of some individuals.

The minister said that the Joint Working Group on the CPEC would be constituted within two months to start the consultation process with provinces on industrial parks and economic zones.
