KARACHI: Wapda and Pakistan Army completed the semi-final line-up of the NBP Challenge Cup underway in Lahore when they won their last-eight ties on Friday.

Wapda recorded a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Pakistan Navy at the Railways Stadium to advance to a semi-final against Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

In the other quarter-final tie, Zahid’s brace enabled Army to overcome holders Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and set up a last-four clash against Khan Rsearch Laboratories (KRL).

At the Railways Stadium, Hassan Faiz fired Navy in the front in the third minute but Wapda levelled matters a minute past the hour mark when Ahsan Ali netter before Hasnain Shah scored the winner in the 70th.

Zahid was Army’s key man at the Model Town Football Club Ground, scoring his first in the 20th minute before sealing their win four minutes from time to send PAF crashing out.
