Afghan army team visits Miramshah

PESHAWAR: A delegation of the Afghan National Army, led by Corps Commander Maj Gen Mohammad Zaman Waziri, visited Miramshah in North Waziristan Agency and the corps headquarters in Peshawar on Wednesday.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, Maj Gen Waziri met Corps Commander Lt Gen Hidayatur Rehman and the two sides discussed ways of strengthening the existing border coordination mechanism. In Miramshah, the delegation was informed about the successes of the Zarb-i-Azb operation.

The guests from Afghanistan praised Pakistan Army’s resolve and efforts made by it in the fight against terrorism.

In Peshawar, the delegation laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-i-Shuhada at the corps headquarters.
