After a hiatus of more than five years in the local industry, Shiraz Upal is back with a bang with the official music video for 3 Bahadur, which is set to hit screens on May 22 all across Pakistan.

Dubbed as the first full-length Pakistani animated film, the music video for 3 Bahadur shows an amalgamation of scenes from the film as as well as how the characters might seem in real-life.

The video starts off with the lead of 3 Bahadur, Amna, Saadi and Kamil playing cricket at night. Kamil hits a shot with and the ball lands in an eerie looking clock-tower. Summoning their courage, the kids then head to the creaking tower and open a door which leads them to Shiraz Upal setting up the stage to perform.

The song's lyrics are penned by Shakeel Sohail.

According to a statement, Upal said working with animation was a new and challenging experience for him:

"While making music for films I try to put myself into the given situation where I relate to the character but in this case relating to animated characters instead of humans was very difficult initially — but later I started enjoying when I thought I was one of them", he said.

The singer also said that the film was going to set a benchmark and that he was given complete creative freedom with the track.

3 Bahadur is a venture of Waadi Animations with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Salman Iqbal and Jerjees Seja as its executive producers.
