AJK govt declares 22 men as terrorists

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government declared on Wednesday 22 men as terrorists for their alleged involvement in acts of terrorism and put their names under the 4th schedule of the AJK’s Anti-Terrorism Act, 2014.

According to a notification issued by the Home Department, 20 of the suspects belong to AJK and two to Punjab.

The suspected terrorists were identified as Aftab Shafi, Molvi Abdul Khaliq, Aftikhar alias Adrees Molvi, Waqas, Hafiz Kashif, Shafi Mavia, Molvi Abdul Ghafoor and Molvi Mohammad Akhter (residents of Poonch district); Shezan Rasheed, Iftikhar Majeed, Muhammad Iyaz and Sajid Awan (residents of Sudhnoti district); Muhammad Arshad, Ansar, Nazirul Islam, Mohammad Kaleem, Ghulam Mustafa, Touqeer Abbasi and Israr (resident of Bagh district); Muhammad Yasir (Muzaffarabad district), and Asmatullah Mavia and Mirza Khan (residents of Mian Channu in Punjab).
