WHILE viewing the Pakistan Day parade on TV, Prof Laeeq Ahmad was immensely missed. A polished broadcaster and anchor and an educationist, his typical style of running commentary of this national event (and so many others) was awaited by me for the whole year.
Today’s commentators, whosoever they were, need a lot of polishing on conducting this prestigious event, particularly with regard to the accent and pronunciation and control over the loudness and drop in voice in harmony with the ongoing event.
