LADHA: An armyman and his grandson were kil­led and three other people injured on Tuesday when their vehicle hit a landmine in South Waziristan.

Subedar Noor Rehman of the Frontier Corps was going from Shaktai to his native Janatta village along with his family when their pick-up hit an improvised explosive device (IED) in Narora area.

Subedar Rehman and his grandson Hakeem­ullah died, while his two other grandsons and driver were taken to a Bannu hospital where doctors termed their condition critical.
