QUETTA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) have decided to jointly contest the upcoming Senate election in Balochistan with an aim to stop horse-trading.
The decision was announced by Sardar Sanaullah Zehri of PML-N at a press conference held with JUI-F leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari here on Friday.
Leader of Opposition in the Balochistan Assembly Maulana Abdul Wasey and other leaders from both parties were present on the occasion.

“We have entered into an alliance after negotiations over jointly contesting the Senate election,” he said, adding that efforts were under way to include other parties in the alliance.
The two leaders said it was the responsibility of all political parties to join hands for eliminating horse-trading in the Senate election. “We want to get rid of this evil.”
Maulana Haidari said that negotiations were under way for seat adjustment between the two parties.
“We are making efforts to bring all political parties on one page for elimination of horse-trading and stopping sale and purchase of votes in the Senate election,” they said.
“Sale and purchase of votes for Senate election is also a great insult of people who elect their representative through their votes,” Sardar Zehri said, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was making all out efforts to bring all political parties on the same page over this issue.
